GBM#12: White Elephant
On December 8th, Barkada brought their Christmas spirits and their gifts for White Elephant. The name of the gift exchange game is derived from the highly coveted white elephants, which were gifted to Southeast Asian monarchs. The monarchs who were given these white elephants were said to rule with justice and power and that their kingdoms would see peace and prosperity. And so, the exchanging of Christmas gifts was dubbed “White Elephant,” though the only white elephants you’re likely to see today are plush!
