GBM #7: Iba at Pareho

On October 21, we had our Iba at Pareho meeting. This one is a tear-jerker everytime, and this year was no different :,)

Tito Abet started the night off with some really wise and insightful words —- I hope you’re all keeping your promises!

Afterwards, we began with our first activity. We reacted to a list of various statements by taking a step forward or back depending on whether those statements had a positive or negative impact on our lives. After the activity was done, we reflected on where we stood in the room compared to where we started; everyone’s place was different.

We discussed our thoughts, feelings, and emotions with both small and large groups afterwards. All of your words were so so appreciated and valued, and we can’t thank you all enough for sharing your truth <3

We ended the night with Step into the Circle. This activity allowed us to see that even though the privilege walk showed we were different, we still had some things in common, even if they were a little bit ~ silly ~

We hope you guys enjoyed getting to hear from each other and sharing your own stories. We’ll see you next week!
