GBM #7: Iba at Pareho

This week’s GBM was Iba at Pareho, which means “different and the same” in Tagalog. This meeting began with some touching words from Tito Abet. Our first activity was the Privilege Walk, where we took steps forward and back if we related to certain statements regarding our privileges. Then, we opened up the floor with a group discussion. Many people gave insightful comments on culture, privilege, and their unique experiences growing up. We laughed, we cried, and we connected with each other by finding things in common that we never would have known without having these conversations. Thank you to everyone who shared their story, and always remember that you are not alone and have a community to support you <3
